Annotated Album downloads and history

Annotated Album downloads (require JAlbum 8.0 or later)
 • 3.1.2 Zipped file for Windows.
 • 3.1.2 Stuffit file for Macintosh (or PC).
Download and uncompress, and for Windows put the resulting folder named AnnotatedAlbum (containing a number of templates, two folders, etc.) into the skins folder in the JAlbum folder in either Application Data or Program Files (possibly Program Files (x86)).

History
Version 3.1.2 (4/9/09) adds control of description width to the Annotated Album page of the Album Settings option.
Version 3.1.1 (4/7/09) eliminates the old way of specifying a title or description for an album; we now rely on the JAlbum machinery on the General page of the Album Settings option instead of using the Annotated Album page of the Album Settings option.
Version 3.1 (3/31/09) incorporates some changes to accommodate JAlbum version 8.1. It uses iframes, instead of frames, in order to support widgets. (Note that the iframes don't appear to work if loaded into Internet Explorer 7 from a local drive, but they do work if loaded from a web host.) Also, it will regenerate the description (from heading and body text files) if the description html file has been deleted from the output directory; thus you can force the description to be updated if you have changed the heading or body text files outside of JAlbum.
Version 3.0 (6/11/08) incorporates some changes to accommodate JAlbum version 8.
Version 2.4 (3/14/06) incorporates some changes to accommodate the new JAlbum Edit tab functionality. (Most of my web pages describing how to use the Annotated Album skin have been updated, too: http://www.donstonetech.com/AnnotatedAlbums/AnnotAlbumSkin.htm.) Version 2.4 also includes changes that make style sheet attributes apply to images as well as their descriptions.
Version 2.3 (2/10/04) allows users to itemize the image descriptions they want to edit as the album is generated and shows a page with both image and description when someone links to just the description (e.g., via Google). Version 2.3.1 adds support for importing JAlbum-style comments (entered from the Edit tab) or descript.ion comments (from ACDSee, STGThumb or Fookes Album Express, e.g.). Version 2.3.2 improves the handling of images not in output directory. Version 2.3.3 allows users to specify that image and description files should be copied to the output directory and attempts to keep the buttons frame and description frame from becoming too narrow when the browser window is fairly small. Version 2.3.4 modifies the anchor tags in buttons.htt so that the various buttons on slide pages will work if the album is itself embedded in a frameset.
Version 2.2 (12/30/03 and later) introduced an AnnotatedAlbum tab/section within the JAlbum program, allowing users to specify Annotated Album options more conveniently. Version 2.2.1 produced album pages that are fully compliant with the HTML 4.01 specification.
Version 2.1 (11/7/03 and later) began support for tabbing between fields in the description input window, improved the layout of this window when the screen size is not 1024x768, and allowed the heading or body of a description to be empty. Version 2.1.3 suppressed the tabbing capability if the user's software wouldn't support it.
Version 2.0 (11/4/03) introduced support for entering or updating image descriptions during the album generation process.
Version 1.1 (7/23/03) included various cosmetic improvements and added a help screen.
Version 1.0 (6/18/03) produced an image album using (when available) .htm or .html image descriptions prepared prior to album generation.
